#luckywelivepa

Growing up in Central PA hasn’t always been what you expect it to be – sweet as chocolate. When you’re in your teens, and it turns 10:00, there’s nothing to do! Thankfully, as I’ve grown older, and have been able to move to Clarion for college, and return to the area, I have a new sense of appreciation for all things Pennsylvania.

We’re very lucky to have these beautiful trees, valleys, rivers, and mountains all a short drive away. Now, I wake up early, grab coffee at one of my favorite shops, and get on the road to begin exploring a new creek, river, or trail.

This past weekend, I was able to travel back to Clarion to visit the places that I spent time at while at Clarion, but never truly appreciated what I had only 15 minutes down the road. Visiting Cook Forest State Park, and kayaking on the Clarion river, it really sunk in. Cook Forest is home to 250 year old tress, many 200 feet tall, and others 3 feet in diameter. I’m a 28 year-old girl, it puts things into perspective how much more this world is, and how beautiful and lucky we are.

This blog brings exploring through Pennsylvania – hikes, foods, kayaking, drinks, dancing, waterfalls, valleys, mountains – to you all in one place. It brings my appreciation for all things to light, and makes me realize I’m #luckywelivepa.
